Dick Francis or Richard Stanley Francis was a steeple chase jockey and crime writer whose writings primarily center on horse racing in England.
The stories are primarily narrated by the fictional main character, a trainer, bookie or owner. Over 40 of his novels have become best sellers in the international book market.
